FATA DA has planned to provide Solar & Wind Energy as alternate source for electrification in the far flung areas of FATA where the conventional WAPDA electrification can not be provided during near future. For this purpose we have developed contacts with AEDB, NUST Consulting and ENERCON who are already involved in this field. NUST Consulting has already worked in FATA and has provided solar electrification facility in six villages of Khyber Agency and they are extending corporation to FATA DA in this field.

Recently FATA DA awarded a contract to NUST Consulting for “Feasibility study for the use of solar energy in FATA” which also include implementation of 4 pilot projects. We have also requested the AEDB to keep FATA included in all country level future schemes of alternate energy resources.
