Details
Project Scope:
The project consists of a dam having 101 ft height with a gross storage capacity of 4820 AF. By implementation the following benefits are visualized:
  • Agricultural benefits from the command area of 2000 acres
  • Fisheries benefits
  • Employment during construction: Direct = 550 & Indirect = 200 for 2-1/2 years
  • Employment after construction: Direct = 08 Nos & Indirect = 400 Persons of about 200 families
  • Ground water improvement/recharge
  • Overall up gradation in socioeconomic status of beneficiaries

Present Status: (Completed)

The project consisting of main dam embankment, spillway, intake structure, irrigation systems, inspection hut and access road completed satisfactorily within scheduled time frame inspite of adverse Law & Order situation in the project area and imposition of frequent curfew by administration / Pak-army on the communication link.
The dam has been handed over to Irrigation & Hydel Power Division FATA Secretariat North Waziristan Agency.
