Project Scope: |

To provide training in market-based and job-oriented trades to literate and semi-literate youth of FATA
-
To increase resource pool of trained youth for local, national and international industries and services sector.

To prepare literate/semi-literate/illiterate youth of FATA for getting on-job training in FATA Youth Skills Development Program (Field Internship).

To provide trained manpower for industry and other sectors when industrial development starts in FATA.

Present Status: |
- Fata Youth are providing short duration training courses in vocational training institutes of good reputations within the country to gain employable skills in different trades.
- Efforts are being made to identify industries, Civil Works and service Organization where the trained youth may be able to get jobs on the bases of institution-based training. Others may want to start their own businesses. Small, large and medium-sized industries are being contacted in the various industrial/service organization/Civil Contractors for arranging internship. Large and medium-sized industries are being contacted directly for this purpose. Information collected from industries will also help us in planning future Skills Development Programmes.

So far, 893 trainees have successfully completed the training in various trades.

Training of 1019 trainees is in progress in different institutes.
