Details
Project Scope:
Enhancement of the 8 million proven reserves to more than 50 million tons through the following studies:
  • Detailed geological mapping.
  • Geophysical investigation.
  • Geophysical survey.
  • Core Drilling 7000 meters
  • Reserves estimation and preparation of bankable documents for investment by national and multi-nation companies.

Present Status:
  • 500 observation points digitized for preparation of 3D model for subsurface copper mineralization.
  • 20 Nos. geological cross sections of prospect 2,3 & 6 prepared & digitized.
  • 100 meter electrode spacing data of I.P. survey for various depth levels digitized to evolve 3D I.P. data model.
  • It has been planned to conduct 2500 meter core drilling on Shinkai copper Prospects in first phase in collaboration with another government organization.
  • After procurement of drilling accessories, drilling rigs along-with other accessories and staff at Shinkai Copper site North Waziristan Agency will be mobilized for the required core drilling.
  • Since May 2009, physical work is suspended on the project, due to law & order situation in the area.
